Coherence is a 2015 sci-fi hit directed by James Ward Byrkit that documents how, on the night of an astronomical anomaly, eight friends at a dinner party experience a troubling chain of reality bending events. Part cerebral sci-fi and part relationship drama, Coherence is a tightly focused, intimately shot film that quickly ratchets up with tension and mystery.

Filmed over 8 days and completely improvised, the film enjoyed 5 international festival nominations and 4 wins, including the Audience Award and Bingham Ray Breakthrough Director at Gotham Awards 2014.

One of the best science fiction movies in years.

The film had its world premiere at the Austin Fantastic Fest and stars Emily Baldoni, Maury Sterling, Nicholas Brendon, Lorene Scafaria, Hugo Armstrong, Elizabeth Gracen, Alex Manugian and Lauren Maher.

The film won Next Wave Best Screenplay at the Austin Fantastic Fest, the
Maria Award for Best Screenplay and the Carnet Jove Jury Award for Best In Competition at the Sitges Film Festival, and the Black Tulip Award for Best Feature Debut and the Imagine Movie Zone Award, Special Mention at the Imagine Film Festival.

One of its strengths is the attention it pays to character. Scrape away the sci-fi trappings and this emerges as a caustic, closely observed drama about some narcissistic California types with obvious tensions in their lives.
